Does Time Warner come to everyone's door?

This afternoon, I had a knock on my door. After a failed attempt to get Sandy in her house, I peek my head out the door. A representative from Time Warner was trying to up his sales by asking me if I wanted cable/digital TV free for a month. I told him thanks, but I'm moving in a month, and also that my boyfriend works for Time Warner. He laughed and commented that I should have the hook-ups then. I said yes, and politely excused myself because Sandy was trying to push her way through the door by this point in time.

I miss being in a house, where the only people who knocked on my door were Johovah's Witnesses, and I would let them see me sitting in the living room but not answer the door.
